Beech Hill Interchange

Construction of the Highway 104 overpass at Beech Hill Road near the County of Antigonish municipal offices is currently underway.  The structure being built consists of the section where the four lanes of Highway 104 will go over Beech Hill Road.  The overpass should be completed by the end of December 2009, and once completed vehicle traffic will be able to go underneath the structure.  The detour that is currently in place will be removed at that time.

Beech Hill Road is close to the western end of Phase 1 construction – which extends from near the entrance to the Town of Antigonish (just west of Addington Forks Road) to about 1km past Beech Hill Road.  Phase 2 construction will continue east of Beech Hill Road to Taylor Road.  The estimated completion date of Phase 1 construction is 2012.
